Roaming - terms of use
Customers have the right to use the SIM card on the mobile network of other operators abroad and within the territory of Montenegro if One Crna Gora has provided international or national roaming services.
An exception applies to customers of the Tourist package, who can only use the services within the territory of Montenegro.
For customers of One Crna Gora (individuals and legal entities), the roaming service is automatically activated. For all data cards (individuals and legal entities), the roaming service is activated upon the customer's request (the cardholder or responsible person in a legal entity). For physical and legal entities that are not citizens of Montenegro (foreign citizens), diplomats, as well as displaced and refugee individuals, the roaming service is activated upon request, and they are obliged to make an advance payment in accordance with the defined rules of One Crna Gora.
One Crna Gora will provide the calculation and charge the customer for the cost of using the network and/or services of another operator with which the roaming service is provided, increased by the costs incurred in connection with that calculation and billing, according to the current roaming rates. The fee for the use of electronic communication services on the network of another operator in a specific billing period will be charged to the customer immediately or at the latest in one of the upcoming billing periods.
Useful information to know before traveling
One Crna Gora enables you to communicate freely. This means that you can use your SIM card in the networks of other operators abroad with whom One Crna Gora has commercial roaming agreements. Before you travel, check the latest information about the countries and operators whose services are available to you by calling Customer Service at 1700 or visiting the website 1.me. Additionally, check:
- Whether you have activated roaming service.
- Whether One Crna Gora has established roaming with the country you are traveling to.
- Which operators are available for using roaming in the country you are traveling to and whether outgoing calls are possible.
- Which frequencies the GSM operator uses and whether your phone is compatible with the network.
- Whether you have activated any restrictions on outgoing or incoming calls. If you have, deactivate them.
- For prepaid customers who want to use roaming services, we recommend carrying top-up vouchers and maintaining a minimum balance on your account to send messages, receive calls, or make calls. The minimum amount can be determined according to the roaming services price list in the International zone you are in.
Access to Another Network
To use the roaming service, you need to select the network you want to use. In your phone's menu, there is a Network Selection function that offers you automatic or manual network selection.
If your phone is set to automatic network selection, when you first turn on your phone abroad or in an area covered by another GSM network, the display will show the accepted and displayed network of the operator with the strongest signal at your location. When you move to an area, part of the city, etc., where there is a stronger signal from another available GSM network (a different mobile operator), the phone will automatically accept the strongest signal of the GSM network in that location.
If you manually select the network on your phone, after a short network search, all available and accessible GSM operator networks in that country will appear on your mobile phone's display. Choose and mark the one whose services you want to use, confirm (OK), and your phone will be set to the network you want to use all the time.
If One Crna Gora does not have a commercial roaming agreement with one of the GSM networks you want to select, the message "NO ACCESS" will appear on your phone's display (Access is not possible).
Making Calls While in Roaming
Making phone calls when you are abroad (or in another network within the country) is not different from the usual procedure for making phone calls (dialing and receiving calls) when you are in the home network of One Crna Gora.
You just need to ensure that you enter the number in international format, meaning that you should enter the country prefix before the phone number, either +cc or 00cc.
For example: +38269123456,
0038269123456.
GPRS Roaming
Customers of One Crna Gora's network can use GPRS service while roaming.
GPRS/MMS roaming allows One customers to "surf" the internet and download specific content within their networks, as well as send MMS messages to the 069 network.
GPRS is charged based on the amount of data transferred, and MMS is charged per sent message plus the amount of data transferred. Sending MMS messages from the home network to other networks is charged according to the official price list.
Note
We recommend that customers choose manual network selection while roaming to ensure the best quality of roaming service.
We also recommend that customers who live or stay in border areas with neighboring countries activate the option of MANUAL network selection. If automatic network selection is activated, it can happen that the phone takes over the signal from a neighboring network. In this case, the traffic will be billed at the current rates of the roaming partner whose network was used.
Roaming Activation
One Crna Gora customers, for whom the roaming service is not automatically activated, can activate roaming service through the Moj One app, Customer Service (1700), or by visiting One Crna Gora's offices.
Note: Business customers for whom the company is fully or partially responsible for bill payment, foreign citizens, as well as internet card users, have the ability to view the service status on the Moj One app but cannot activate or deactivate it.
