Telenor network has the highest average data transfer speed in urban areas in the territory of Montenegro and the highest percentage of 4G technology usage on its sites, shows the Agency of Electronic Communications and Postal Services (EKIP) bench marking report.
According to the measurement of quality of services of all operators, Telenor used 4G technology on more than 93% of the sites included in the sample. Telenor also has the best result in measurement of the average data transfer speed; and the highest downlink speed of 162 Mb/s was measured in Telenor network.
“Needs of our customers, fast internet and high quality services guide our everyday business practice. This is the reason why we focused on network modernization last year and introduced latest generation technology in all Montenegrin municipalities, on more than 350 locations. Besides realization of such a demanding project, we have also spread 4G coverage in every town. The results of the measurement prove that we have succeeded to achieve our goals”, says Telenor Montenegro General Manager, Sandra Stajner.
The measurement was conducted from the November 2017 until January 2018, in every municipality and on the main roads in Montenegro, for all three operators simultaneously. The measurement process encompasses various parameters, which enable comparability of the services provided to customers.
When it comes to voice services, the results show that Telenor has the most reliable network, because of the highest number of successfully established calls and the least number of interrupted ones.
Telenor plans to intensively invest into development of network quality, in order to provide its customers with the seamless usage of the services most relevant for them.
