Telenor Foundation launched second Open call to support projects

(Podgorica, January 30th 2015) Telenor Foundation launched new Open call to support projects that are dedicated to youth empowerment, their education and professional advancement of their knowledge and skills in digital world, and all of it in line with „Internet for all“ mission. All interested parties can submit their project via email fondacija@telenor.me until February 23rd at 5pm.

Adrijana Husić, Telenor Foundation Manager expressed satisfaction for opening the second Open call and expressed hopes that this Open call will bring great initiatives that will offer solutions for existing challenges just as the first one did. „We believe both us and our existing and future partners are facing big challenges – we need to create and support projects that will change the community for the better by virtue of Internet. And we are aware that Internet contributes to the development and improvement of the society“.

„New year brings new Open call and opportunity for the organizations to apply and join us in the mission „We are here to help’’. I remind you about three projects that Foundation supported in December last year. Together with our partners we are following up on progress of the projects and development of the idea through implementation of the activities. We have many new challenges coming, but we believe that by having great existing and new partnerships, we can offer sustainable and innovative solutions that will change our society for better“, said Husic.

On the last Open call Foundation financially and logistics supported projects initiated by Association of paraplegics Podgorica and The Association of European students BEST – Local group Podgorica, while cooperation with NGO Digitalizuj.Me has been formalized through new Initiative.

Decision about support of the projects will be made at the next Managing Board meeting planned for March 2015 by Managing Board Members. Members of the Managing Board are representatives of Telenor: General Manager Michael Malvebo, Head of Human Resources Biljana Radusinovic and Head of Corporate Affairs Ivica Ivanovic, as well as director of Marketing and Sales at Domen Natasa Djukanovic and Andjelko Lojpur, professor at Faculty of Economics.
