At the Spark.Me Conference, Telenor has been an official production partner, providing free Internet access for all participants, while many users who have communicated via social networks with official Telenor accounts have received valuable presents.
New projects and apps have been presented at the 20th anniversary Infofest. The highest attention has been attracted by presenting the “Conquer Internet, Surf Wisely” project, implemented by Telenor, in cooperation with the Ministry of Information Society and Telecommunications, Ministry of Education, “Parents” Association, and Ombudsman. Ombudsman Deputy Nevenka Stanković has said that the surveys on children’s Internet safety clearly show that prevention and promotion can create a safe digital environment for our children. “Telenor’s project on Internet safety actually responds to challenges imposed by the dynamics of the modern world development, where the establishment and preservation of social values must not be neglected,” said Assistant Minister of Information Society and Telecommunications Radule Novović.
At the 11th International Conference of Regulatory Authorities, organised within the Infofest, participants have also discussed the protection of personal data and global trends in protecting user privacy under the conditions of the dynamic development of new technologies. “Resolving the issue of privacy and safety in electronic communications requires a comprehensive approach, engagement of a wide range of interested parties and harmonisation of many, often different, needs and interests. To achieve these and objectives of promoting the national culture of information and communication safety, consistent rules applicable for all participants are needed,” concluded Ivica Ivanović, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer.
