Telenor has launched the most advanced 4G+ network
into the majority of Montenegrin towns. Faster internet and higher quality of the signal are the advantages of the new technology, now available in every
municipality in the Southern and Central part of the country. The innovative
4G+ network is also available on the North, in Kolasin, Mojkovac, Bijelo Polje,
Berane, Pljevlja, Plav i Rožaje.
“Back in 2012, Telenor was the first operator to
introduce 4G in Montenegro, before any other country in the region. Since then,
we have continuously worked on the coverage improvement, covering 98% of the
population with 4G at this point. We have completed a demanding network
modernization project last year, simultaneously introducing 4G+ network. We
believe that our customers, who demand a constantly high quality of service and
fast data transfer, will highly benefit from this new technology”, Telenor
CTO Kai Gulbrandsen states.
In order to use all advantages of the 4G+ network,
customers need a 4G SIM card and a supporting device to use in an area covered
with 4G+ signal.
The results of bench marking measurements conducted
by the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (EKIP) showed
that Telenor network has the highest average data transfer speed in urban areas
and the highest percentage of 4G technology usage.
