84305 messages has been sent to donor number 14543

Podgorica, June 3rd 2014 – Customers of Telenor Smart Network have sent 84305 messages in total until 9 am to the donation line opened to help victims of floods in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 

“Telenor customers continue to give their contribution by sending solidarity messages, while funds raised will be paid to the account of the Red Cross Montenegro which will further be used for giving necessary help. Citizens of Montenegro are aware of importance to continue sending solidarity messages, as the vulnerable population will face the biggest challenge in coming period – repairing consequences”, Adrijana Husic, Manager of Telenor Foundation has said.

 

Cooperation that has been established between Red Cross Montenegro and Telenor Foundation is first among other projects to come from Telenor Foundation in upcoming period. Following the best practice, Telenor Foundation through its activities will try to ensure that mobile communications further contribute to social inclusion. Furthermore, through its initiatives will create values in the society, strengthen awareness and maximise usage of communication services for all Montenegrin citizens.

 

By each SMS sent to donor number 14543, Telenor customers can still donate EUR 1 - donated amount is tax free. It is enough to send empty SMS and give contribution, while some handsets require writing at least one sign or letter.
